What does the maternity nurse do?
Our maternity nurse takes care of you and your newborn child after delivery with the main goals of a speedy recovery of you as a mother and integration of your child into the family.

You can also register with PUUR Maternity Care if you are receiving care from another obstetrician or gynaecologist elsewhere in the region.
Incubator aftercare
If your baby must stay in hospital for more than 10 days after birth, you can make use of incubator aftercare or postponed maternity care. PUUR can also provide this care.

Care hours
From 1 January 2006, maternity care for everyone is included in the basic health insurance package. You will receive maternity care during the first eight to ten days after the birth.
