Acupuncture for labor preparation

As your due date approaches, acupuncture can be a gentle, supportive way to prepare your body for birth. Starting around 36 weeks, labor preparation treatments help encourage optimal positioning of the baby, support hormonal balance, and promote relaxation—physically and emotionally. Many women report feeling more calm, rested, and ready for labor after these sessions. Acupuncture works in harmony with the natural rhythms of your body and can be a valuable addition to your birth plan. Annette can provide the treatments at Kruislaan or at home. 

Several methods can be used, such as:

• Acupuncture/Acupressure 

• Moxibustion
• Electronic Stimulation
• Massage techniques

The treatment doesn't guarantee that your labor will begin, but we'll do everything we can to prepare your body for labor and induce labor naturally.

WHO

Annette is a Licensed Acupuncturist with almost 15 years experience, as well as a mother herself. She combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, bodywork, and naturopathy in her treatments.

COSTS

€75/session. Insurance reimbursement may be available through your supplemental package.

The postpartum treatments are offered at PUUR Geboortecentrum, located at Kruisweg 1025 in Hoofddorp. Home treatments are also possible.
