Regulation days

During regulation days, your breastfeeding offer must be adjusted again to the demand of your baby. You will notice that your child wants to drink more often, sometimes even every hour. By latching more often, the supply and demand system will be brought back into balance. In addition, take extra rest yourself, and drink and eat enough. After a few days, supply and demand will be aligned again and your baby will sleep longer between feedings.

Regulation days can occur around 10-14 days, 6 weeks and 3 months. These moments are not strict, many variations are possible. Do not doubt the quality of your breastfeeding during regulation days. Regulation days are completely normal. And very positive! Your child shows that he/she is able to regulate his/her own nutritional needs.
