Tingling fingers and hands

Especially at night, pregnant women suffer from tingling fingers and hands. The feeling in the hands and forearms can also be reduced.

CAUSE

The extra fluid presses on your arm nerves, which run through a sort of tunnel in your wrist to your hand. This causes the nerves to become pinched and you may experience painful, tingling fingers.

TIPS

  • Sit up straight in bed and move your hands and arms.
  • Sleep with wrist guards. These keep your wrist in a position that doesn't pinch the nerves.
